Elizabeth Lair Gaddy
Elizabeth Lair Gaddy, 93, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at Heritage Green Assisted Living.
Born May 10, 1931, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry Franklin Lair, Jr. and Reva Cyrus Lair.
Born in Lynchburg on May 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Harry Franklin Lair, Jr. and Reva Cyrus Lair. Elizabeth was a lifelong resident of Lynchburg and a woman known for her strength, dedication, and love of family. She worked faithfully for over 35 years at Ericsson / GE, retiring with respect and admiration of her colleagues. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the piano. She enjoyed singing and sang in the choir at College Hill Baptist Church until her health no longer allowed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward F. Lair and Wilton L. Lair, and two grandchildren, Roger Dale Gaddy, Jr. and Margaret Gale Gaddy.
She is survived by her children, Roger Dale Gaddy (Margaret), Lyn Ray Gaddy (Karen), and Vicki G. Greer (Michael); grandchildren, Christopher Greer (Wendy), Joseph Greer (Summer), Wayne Gaddy (Jennifer), and Lynn Gaddy; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Donnie Stevens officiating.
