Martha Wray McDaniel

Martha Wray McDaniel, 84, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Martha was born in Bassett, VA on September 27, 1940 to the late Veda Reeves Adkins Wray and the late Carl Wray. She was of the Christian Faith, and worked for many years as a registered nurse at SOVAH Health Hospital in Danville, previous to her retirement.

Martha is survived by two daughters; Betty Fick (Adam) of Lynchburg, VA and Pat Francis (Kenneth) of Danville, VA; two sons; Henry McDaniel and Kenneth McDaniel (Stacy) both of Danville, VA; a brother; Michael Wray; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Martha was predeceased by two brothers; Wendell and Lynwood Wray.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00am with Pastor Joey Bray officiating, at Roselawn Cemetery, 103 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, VA. The family will receive friends on Thursday May 8, 2025 at the residence of her son, Mr. Henry McDaniel.
