Byron Lane Reynolds
Byron Lane Reynolds, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on May 26th at the age of 66.
Born on September 2, 1958, Byron was raised on a tobacco farm, where he learned the values of hard work and dedication principles that would guide him throughout his life. He worked for many years at Times Fiber Communications, where he made a lasting impact as the company’s first Union President, advocating for his coworkers and leading with integrity.
Byron was deeply involved in his community, coaching Little League baseball and cheering on young athletes with encouragement and pride. He had a passion for motorcycles and cherished time spent on the open road.
He is predeceased by his loving parents, Betty and Marshall Reynolds.
Byron is survived by his children, Elizabeth Ferris (Ben Ferris) and David Reynolds; and his grandchildren, Olivia Ferris, Blake Reynolds, and Caden Ferris. He also leaves behind his siblings, Marsha Steele (Mike), Keith Reynolds, and Darrell Reynolds (Suzanne), as well as many extended family members and friends.
Byron's legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished. He will be remembered always.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 30, 2025, 11:00a.m. at the Reynolds Family Cemetery, 499 Triangle School Road, Chatham, VA with Pastor Richard L Motley and Lynn Reynolds officiating.
The family will receive friends and family at the home of his daughter, Elizabeth Ferris.
