Sandra Lee Saunders Goin

Sandra Lee Saunders Goin, 80, of Concord, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Goin, Jr.
Born on August 11, 1944, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Meredith Saunders and Mary Ann Hawley Saunders. Sandra graduated from Virginia Baptist School of Nursing in 1965 as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her daughter Stephanie G. Alvis and husband, Rusty of Concord; two grandchildren, Morgan A. Watson and husband, Jacob of Spout Spring and Madison Alvis of Charlottesville; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia Joy Watson, Levi Russell Watson, and Luke Thomas Watson.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Eugene Saunders.
A funeral service will be held 2pm, Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Duncan officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service until 3:30pm in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow at 4pm in Liberty Cemetery.
