Beatrice Ellen Kennett Flora

Beatrice Ellen Kennett Flora, 78, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away after a lengthy battle with dementia, Tuesday, July 29, 2025. She was born August 4, 1946, to the late Thomas Andrew Kennett and Mary Ellen Hodges Kennett.

She dedicated her life to helping others feel confident and beautiful. Beatrice was a hairdresser for more than fifty years, she used her talents to touch the lives of many, offering not just her skills, but also her kindness and listening ear. Her salon chair became a place of comfort, laughter, and transformation. Outside of work, she found her greatest joy in her family. She deeply loved spending time with them, cherishing every moment shared. Her warmth, devotion, and generous spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Beatrice is survived by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Robert “Bob” Owen Flora; daughter, Sandra “Sandy” Dowell Woodall (Scott VanLear); brother, James “Jimmy” Thomas Kennett (Dare); grandson, Logan Andrew Woodall (Kirsten); and extended family member, Jonah McReynolds (Kassidy).

All services will be private.
