R. Lee Hubbard

R. Lee Hubbard, age 87, peacefully passed away on July 31, 2025, at Amelia Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on March 10, 1938, Lee was the beloved son of the late Hurbert Lee (“Jack”) Hubbard and Hattie F. Mattox. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Rachel (infant) and Margaret Turner; and one brother, Bobby Hubbard.

R. Lee honorably served his country in the United States Navy and went on to enjoy a long and dedicated career with Fieldcrest Mills, where he was admired for his strong work ethic and steadfast character.

He is survived by his three brothers, George Hubbard, Billie Hubbard, and Jackie Hubbard; one sister, Jeanette Berthold; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family.

In accordance with Mr. Hubbard’s wishes, no services will be held.
