H. Rebecca Reynolds
H. Rebecca “Becky” Reynolds, 67, crossed the line of worlds and transitioned into her Heavenly and final Home, falling into the welcoming arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2025. There to greet her was her dad, Mr. Carl L. German, who preceded her in death on January 1, 1990, along with a grandchild that she never had the joy of seeing this side of eternity.
Becky was born on March 7, 1958, in Garden City, Mich., into the loving home of Carl and Helen German. She was the middle of three girls - her older sister, Vickie, and her baby sister, Kathie. She was a 1976 graduate of Cass City High School where she cheered the Red Hawks on to many victories. She married the love of her life, Greg Reynolds, on June 18, 1977. Together, they served The Wesleyan Church, from 1985 to 2022, in active local and denominational leadership. Becky was a model pastor and district superintendent’s wife - she will always be known to many as “The First Lady”; and a First Lady she truly was. She grew the district ladies retreats in both East Michigan District and Shenandoah District of The Wesleyan Church. An avid student of the Bible and the ultimate prayer warrior, there’s no telling how many mountains God moved in her lifetime as she interceded in prayer on the behalf of others.
She was a dynamic piano player and was often found accompanying Greg as he sang solos. They also ministered, on occasion, with duets. Not only was she a piano player, but she was a piano instructor in The School of Music at Roanoke Valley Christian Schools. “Mrs. Reynolds” adored each of her piano students deeply and they truly loved her in return. With a broken heart, she was required to step down early due to her battle with cancer.
Becky was full of life and had a contagious laugh that could be recognized from any corner of a room. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother (Bebe), mentor, and a friend to anyone who was in need of a true friend.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, the Reverend Greg Reynolds; as well as the two prides of her life, the Reverend Matthew (Samantha) Reynolds and Mrs. Stephanie (Matthew) Reynolds Landis. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Brendan, Trenton, Mason, Brady, Carlee Ann Rebecca, and Kollier; her dear and loving mother, Helen German; her sisters, Vickie (Ed) Givens and Kathie (Greg) Conrad; and brothers-in-law, Dr. Timothy Reynolds and Nelson Harris; nieces and nephews that she cared for from the bottom of her heart; and finally a registry of friends who loved her immensely.
The Reynolds family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and then again from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church located at 402 Hershberger Road NW in Roanoke. A celebration of life will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 9, 20205, at Parkway Church on the Mountain located at 3645 Orange Avenue in Roanoke. A pre-service visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. A graveside service will ensue on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Novesta Cemetery in Cass City, Mich., where she will be laid to rest until the trumpet of the Lord sounds and He calls His children Home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider charitable contributions to either the RVCS School of Music or the women’s ministry at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.
