Johnny Devere Robertson

Johnny DeVere Robertson, 65, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Tuesday, August 5th, 2025. He was born in Denton County, Texas on July 2, 1960, to Donald Jack Robertson and Edith Carolyn Threadgill Chance.

In addition to his father, Johnny was preceded in death by his sister, Liz Robertson Johnson; father-in-law, George Gordon; and sister-in-law, Kristy Farr.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Jo Gordon Robertson; daughter, Johnna "Chay" Shrewsberry (David); grandson, Tanner Shrewsberry (Emma); great-grandson, Aiden Shrewsberry, with another great-grandchild on the way; sons, Micah Robertson (Christina) and Caleb Robertson (Arielle); grandsons; Everett DeVere Robertson, and Arlan Robertson; mother-in-law, Jo Gordon; sister-in-law, Beth McIntosh; and brother, Jason Robertson (Veronica).

Johnny was an Evangelist with the Martinsville Church of Christ. He loved spending time with his family, as well as his church family. He enjoyed Bible study and had devoted his life to helping people.

A visitation will be held from 11:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, at McKee-Stone Funeral Home, 109 Broad Street, Martinsville, Va 24112. A memorial service will follow at 12:00PM, and will be officiated by his son, Evangelist Caleb Robertson.
