Donna Marie Walton Richardson

Donna Marie Walton Richardson, 68, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born in New York on March 15, 1957, to the late Peggie Brown Gunn and the late Jace L. Gunn. She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Phillip Adolph Richardson. She was of the Christian Faith, and worked for many years as a Supply Clerk for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by a son; Christopher Richardson and wife Shunia Burruss of Kill Devil Hills, NC; a daughter; Tameca Richardson of Gibsonville, NC; four sisters; Debbie Ann Williams, Diane Brown, Tiffany Horne, and Shyra Settle (Isaac); four grandchildren; Quentarra Richardson, Diamond Richardson, Christian Richardson, and Titan Richardson; one great grandchild; Rylee Richardson; her best friends; Dorothy Fitzgerald and Gladys Farmer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by a son; Darick Richardson; two sisters; Carolyn Brown and Katherine Brown; and a grandson; Darick Richardson Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 12:00pm, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA, with Minister Isaac Settle officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at the Hackberry Baptist Church cemetery, 2026 Hackberry Road, Sutherlin, VA 24594. A visitation/viewing will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 4-6:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. At other times, the family will receive visitors at the Richardson residence.
