Bettie Kate Cain

Bettie Kate Keith Cain, 83, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to her heavenly home Monday, August 18, 2025. She was born May 10, 1942, in Callands, Virginia, to the late Thomas Keith and Thelma Leftwich Keith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Georgia Mae Leftwich; brothers, Christopher Keith, Gene Keith, Ray Keith, and Mack Keith.

Bettie was a devoted and hardworking woman who spent more than fifteen years employed with Pulaski Furniture. She was a faithful member of Evangelical Holiness Church, where she loved her church family just as deeply as she loved her own. In her free time, Bettie enjoyed the simple joys of life – cooking meals with love, casting a line while fishing, working through puzzle books, and even coloring, which brought her peace and relaxation. More than anything, she cherished caring for her grandchildren and spending time with the people who meant the most to her. Bettie’s love for her family and her church family was evident in everything she did, and her warmth and devotion will be remembered always.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sherry Broadnax (Barry), Valerie Ellis; sons, James T. Keith (Brenda), Ray Don Keith, James B. Keith, Harvi O. Keith (Shelby); sister, Ruth Marie Keith; grandchildren, Parco Craig, Rakeem Keith, Iyesha Keith, Keona Keith, Malcolm Saunders, Maya Saunders, Leah Keith, and Olivia Keith.

The funeral will be held Monday, August 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Bishop John Campbell, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one-half hour prior to the service.
