Ronald Lee Sligh

Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Sligh, 74, of Madison Heights, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Born on October 7, 1950, in Lynchburg, Va., he was the son of the late Lonnie and Cornelia Sligh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Behringer.

Ronnie will be remembered as a loving and compassionate man, whose kindness and gentle spirit touched the lives of many. He had a great appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, often spending his time watching old movies or enjoying the quiet joy of seeing trains pass by. His presence brought warmth and comfort to his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his four siblings, Joyce Casey, Charles Sligh, Kenneth Sligh, and Dorothy Rice; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Shannon Stetson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
