Clarence Donald Beeman

August 1, 1937 - August 21, 2025

Clarence Donald Beeman, “Don,” passed peacefully into the presence of God on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the age of 88. Devoted husband, father, proud grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend.

Don was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, on August 1, 1937. He was the son of Clarence Andrew Beeman and Mollie Walk Beeman. He was the youngest brother by 16 years of four siblings: Bob, Tom, Jack, and Dorothy. He later became a big brother to Tim Beeman, who became his lifelong best friend.

Don had big dreams and put himself through college by selling Fuller Brushes door-to-door to pay for his college education. He graduated from the first graduating class of Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri, in 1959, where he proudly served as student body president for two years.

After college, Don fulfilled his dream of moving somewhere warm and landed in California in 1961. In California, he started his insurance career and established Beeman Insurance Agency shortly thereafter.

In 1962, Don met Rita Louise Brannon, and they were married on February 16, 1963, at Bethel Temple Church in Hayward, CA, where they were members for 30 years.

Don is survived by his children, Shari (Jonathan), Rick, and Kristen (Patrick). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Lindsey, Max, Jonathan Jr., Jessica, Spencer, Amanda, Natalie, Nicholas, Trevor, Sloan, Bailey, Myles, Piper, and Vivienne; and by his great-grandchildren: Olivia, Jonathan III, Noah, Cooper, and Elizabeth, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

Don’s insurance career spanned 61 years. During that time, he consistently made the President’s Club and was a top salesperson for each of the life insurance companies he sold for. As a result, he was able to travel the world several times over, which was his great passion.

Don is best known for his long-winded stories about family, Connellsville, and basically any topic. He will also be most remembered for his incredible laugh. Anyone who knew Don knew his laugh.

He will be incredibly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a private family celebration of life to honor Don.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Teen Challenge USA at www.teenchallengeusa.org. An organization where Don was a member of their Board for several years.
