Donald Jay Jamison

Donald Jay Jamison, 62, of Figsboro, Virginia, transitioned from this earthly life Friday, August 22, 2025. He was born January 19, 1963, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Richard E. Jamison and Nina Frances Eggleston Jamison.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 30 years, Patricia Ann Hall Jamison; and his brother, Roger Allen Jamison.

He was of the Christian faith and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was a dedicated employee for over 20 years at Tultex until the company’s closing. He enjoyed the simple things in life and was content playing cards and riding motorcycles. His kindness was seen in the care he gave to his dogs and cats. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by all who carry his lessons forward: “Know when to hold on, know when to let go, and above all, know when to walk away.” Those left to cherish his legacy of faith and love are his sister, Brenda Cox; sister-in-law, Susan Jamison; nieces including, Jodi Hasty, Jessica Cox; nephews including Christopher Jamison; several step-children and step-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and prayers that have been shown at this difficult time.
