Ulinda Sue Grome

Ulinda Sue Grome, 56, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Anna Mae Alls; her mother, Theresa Alls; her sister, Pamela Fowler; and her grandparents.

Ulinda proudly served with the Virginia Department of Corrections, retiring as a Sergeant. She was deeply devoted to her family and was known for her unwavering love and willingness to do anything for those she cared about.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Mike Grome; her daughters, Brittany Ellis and Christina Patton; her son, Ronald Ian Grome; grandchildren, Amara, Emmett, Anna Ray and Brody; her sister, Eleanor Alls; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM and again from 6 to 8 PM at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Danny Barham officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton.
