Patricia Hodges Murphy

Patricia Hodges Murphy, age 87, formerly of Spencer, VA passed away on August 27, 2025.

Mrs. Murphy was born on April 15, 1938 in Patrick County, VA to Jesse Ben Hodges and Annie Sue Ray Hodges. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde R Murphy, son, Michael Randolph Murphy, five sisters; Nancy Shumate, Mae Cardwell, Betty Adams, Chrystal Juanita Hodges and Margaret Miles, two brothers; J.B. Hodges, Jr. and William Randolph Hodges. She was a graduate of Hardin Reynolds Memorial School and was a member of Friendly Christian Church.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her grandson, Zachary Scott Murphy and one sister, Barbara H. Rea.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Old Well Christian Church Cemetery.
