Cindy Lee Wilmouth

Cindy Lee Wilmouth, 62, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1963, to the late Raymond Cockram and Irene Manning Cockram. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lynwood Cockram, and sisters, Bobbye Gilman, Geraldine Sellers, Brenda Kirk, Carolyn Potter, and Mary Jamison.

Cindy was a member of County Line Church of God of Prophecy. She worked in the Inventory Department as a secretary at Bassett Mirror until becoming disabled. She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, often spending time along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Johnny Dale Wilmouth of the home; Shane Killian (William) of Salem, Virginia; her son, James Martin of Bassett, Virginia; stepdaughter, Sarah Wilmouth; grandsons, John Rodgers of the home and Sean Cockram of Salem, Virginia; granddaughter, Amber Cockram; brother, Donald Cockram (Sue) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sisters, Rena Murphy and Nancy Cockram (June), both of Milton, Florida; along with a host of extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 3:00pm at County Line Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Jason Callahan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Wilmouth Family Cemetery.
