Lynda Goodwin Poff

Lynda Goodwin Poff passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where she received exceptional care from the dedicated doctors and nurses.

Lynda is survived by her devoted husband, Stephen Poff, and his family: mother, Connie Poff; brother, Jonathon Poff and wife, Erin Poff, and their children Olivia and Jackson Poff. She also leaves behind dear friends, Kira and David Oreol. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Helen and Elbert Goodwin.

Lynda dedicated many years to Roanoke Valley Community Credit Union, where she served as both a teller and manager. She genuinely loved working with the public and cherished every opportunity to meet new people—it was through this work that she met her beloved husband, Stephen. When she was no longer able to work at the bank, Lynda was drawn to Scentsy, where she found fulfillment in both the business and the charitable work they supported.

The family will welcome friends for a time of visitation on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Horace Light officiating. Interment immediately following in Sherwood Memorial Park.
