Janet Dalton Hudgins

Janet Dalton Hudgins, age 71, of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, went to her final resting place on September 8, 2025, at Sovah Health in Danville.

Mrs. Hudgins was born on June 5, 1954, in Danville, Virginia to the late Virginia Pruitt Dalton and Harold Page Dalton.

Mrs. Hudgins had a passion for knitting and reading, and she and her husband loved to travel together.

Mrs. Hudgins is survived by her husband, Michael Jerry Hudgins; daughters, Betty J. Hudgins and Jessica Robinson Abbott; sister, Vivian Craft (Harold); five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Lewis Dalton and her son, Greg Hudgins.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Hudgins will be on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Norris Funeral Services – West End Chapel from 6:30-8:00 pm.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the husband, Mr. Hudgins’ residence.
