Katie Lawrence Toms

Katie Lawrence Toms, 85, of Vinton, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, September 12, 2025. Katie is survived by her loving husband James Ed Toms; Daughter Lois Peery (Jay Peery) ; Son Steve Light (Toni Moore). She was a beloved Granny to her grandchildren; Jennifer Carter, Paul Craighead, Margaret Gallimore (Dustin), Jacob Light (Avery).She was a wonderful and most beloved Great-Granny to Harper Carter, Mia Carter, Wesley Light. Beloved niece Kim Shelor.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Eula Lawrence, Beloved Brother Robert Lawrence & Sister Betty Dunn.

She was most happy watching her grand and great grandchildren play ball or babysitting. There will be a private family service at her favorite place at a later date. She will be greatly missed as she now flies with the butterflies.
