Darlene Ann Bonsie

Darlene Ann Feathers Bonsie, 69, of Amherst passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at home. She was the wife of the late Daniel Joseph Bonsie. Born in El Paso, Texas, Darlene was the daughter of the late Harold and Doris Feathers. She was employed as an aid in Wassaic State School in Wassaic, New York, for many years and later retired as a clerk with Food Lion. 

She is survived by three daughters, Michelle Murphy (Andrew), Melissa Monarch (Eric), and Nichole Babish (Matt); one brother, Steve Feathers; six grandchildren, Alexis

Murphy, Dannie Murphy, Bradley Monarch, Dylan Monarch, Brandon Murphy, and Isaiah Babish; and one great-granddaughter, Aria Monarch. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Amherst Cemetery with Rev. Benjamin Smith of Mount Pleasant United Methodist church officiating. Those who wish may consider memorial donations to The American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
