Malcolm David Montgomery

Malcolm David Montgomery, age 101 of Boones Mill, VA passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jacqueline Montgomery; his parents, Walter and Bessie Mongomery; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Christine Montgomery; brother, Dennis Montgomery; son-in-law, Harry Cundiff, Jr.; and niece, Judy McGuire.

Surviving are his children, Sandra Cundiff, Wayne Montgomery, Rex Montgomery (Carolyn); grandsons, Kristopher Montgomery, Brian (Charlotte); two great-grandchildren, Reyce and Malachi; brother, Dallas Montgomery; sister-in-law, Barbara (Raymond) Akers; daughter-in-law, Anne Carter; special great-nephew, Curtis Lynn (Sarah) Dillon; a special caregiver each day who was like a daughter, Wendy Woolf; and a close community of loving friends.

Funeral services will be conducted from Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church (101 Elam Lane, Boones Mill, VA 24065) on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. at the church. The body will also be at the church for viewing one hour prior to the service.

The family respectfully requests no food or flowers. If desired, donations may be made to the Burnt Chimney Volunteer Fire Department.
