Claire Tribble Caldwell

Claire Tribble Caldwell, age 74 passed away at her home in Wirtz surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 17, 1951 in Great Falls, Montana, a daughter of the late Sam Boykin and Nancy Jane Tribble. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Richard Tribble; and sister, Edna Alley.

Claire graduated in Norfolk, VA from Lake Taylor High School Class of 1969. Following graduation, she began what would turn into a 46-year career with the Commonwealth’s Attorney Office.

Upon relocation to the Roanoke Valley with her son, Brandon Edward Misok, she would continue working with the Commonwealth. Claire would meet and later marry her husband of 31 years, Paul. They are both faithful members of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.

Claire is survived by her husband, Paul Caldwell; son, Brandon Edward Misok and his wife Amy of Roanoke; daughter, Laura Tomblin and her husband Scott of Troutville; son, Paul Caldwell, Jr. of Moneta; three grandchildren, Ruby Jane and Walter Misok, Stephen Puckett all of Roanoke; three sisters, Linda Atkinson of Greenville, SC, Dee and her husband Andy Dees of Travelers Rest, SC, Edwin and his wife Donna Tribble of Ackworth, GA, Suzanne and Darrell Reynolds of Boones Mill; Lisa Dean, and many other nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Rocky Mount Baptist Church 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 with Pastor Travor Clatterbuck and Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
