Charles Spencer

Charles Edward Spencer, Jr., 69, of Huddleston, VA, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, He was born on November 15, 1955, and grew up in Roanoke, VA.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Spencer, along with his four siblings.

Left to honor his life are his wife of 46 years, Sherry Spencer; daughter, Mary Arnold (Jason); son, Charles Spencer (Lorie); son, Robert Spencer; daughter, Tressa Spangler (Dave); daughter, Jessica Bryson (John); grandchildren, Ashley, Ethan, Brianna, Olivia, Gabrielle, Jayden, Charlie, Kristina, Brooklyn and Kassidy. Also, on the way, one great-grandchild, Caroline and sisters, Brenda and Jenny.

Charles was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors; he was also named “Chainsaw Charlie”.

Family and friends will gather for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM at Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton, VA. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Lotz Vinton Chapel with Pastor Jeff Richards. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
