Amy Williams Rickman
Amy Williams Rickman, 64, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 8, 1961, in Richmond, Virginia, she is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Edwin Williams II and Jean Williams.
Amy was the devoted wife of 44 years to her beloved husband, Rocky Rickman. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Amy was a proud and loving mother to her sons, Isaiah Rickman and his wife, Chloe, and Jesse Rickman. Her greatest joy was being “Nana” to her four grandchildren—Sabella, Everly, Jackson, and Ryder—who were truly the light of her life.
Amy had a deep love for nature and found peace in tending her garden, caring for her horses and chickens, and spending time with her faithful dog, Sadie. She lived with a generous heart, always ready to help others, and her kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amy’s dear friends who stood by her side through the hardest times, offering love, support, and countless acts of kindness. Their devotion and care meant more than words can express.
She will be remembered for her strength, her compassion, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Amy’s legacy of devotion and grace will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, and officiated by Pastor Nathan Thurman. A time of visitation will be held after the service.
