Francine Young
Ms. Francine George Young, age 80, of Covington, died Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Woodlands Health and Rehab, Clifton Forge.
Ms. Young was born January 17, 1945 in Camp Lejeune, NC, the daughter of the late Dr. George Joseph George and Mary Bedway George. She was a graduate of Covington High School. A homemaker, Francine lived in Columbus, OH for a number of years taking care of her family before returning to Covington in 2016. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Known fondly by her family and close friends as "Francine", "Mother", "Mil", "Grandmother" and "GiGi", had a gift of turning strangers in to friends and moments into memories. Her unwavering trust in the Lord guided her steps and shined through her kindness. Francine's faith was the heart of who she was - steady, genuine and full of grace. Her kindness left an impression on everyone she met.
Though she will be deeply missed, we find comfort knowing she is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before her.
Heaven gained a true friend.
Ms. Young is survived by a son, Stanley G. Young and wife, Donna Young of Covington; a daughter, Adrienne Crisci and husband, Tony Crisci of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren, Randy Phillips and wife, Kellee, George Young, Marisa Crisci and Anthony Crisci; three great grandchildren, Owen Phillips, Emilia Phillips, Adalee Phillips; three sisters, Charmaine Gruber of Cincinnati, OH, Annette Tingler of Culpepper, VA and Renée Neimann of Cincinnati, OH; she especially cherished cousins Laura and Ricky George. Their closeness was a reflection of the deep family ties. As well as these wonderful people who were dear to Francine her caretaker, Lula Belle Phillips, her neighbors, John and Charlotte Waugh and Sharon Wells; friends, Carolyn Snead, Linda Bays and Julie Lewis.
