Shanon Davis Martin

Shannon Davis Martin, 51, of Concord entered eternal rest on Friday, October 3, 2025.
Born on November 21, 1973, in Lynchburg she was the daughter of Margaret Richardson Davis of Pamplin and the late James Riley “Jimmy” Davis, Jr. She was a devoted member of Piney Ridge United Methodist Church. She graduated from Appomattox County High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Longwood University where she was a proud sister of Delta Zeta. Shannon worked as the Director of Expense Management for Genworth. She was a dedicated worker and loved her family, country music, being a GiGi, the beach, and her dog Maggie.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children, Kurt Martin and wife, Taylor and their daughter, Layney Gray Martin; and Katy Martin; two brothers, Jamie Davis and wife, Heather; and Daniel Davis and wife, Amy; aunts and uncles, Rachel and Wayne Lee, Brenda Brisentine, Shirley and Ralph Cheatham, Henry and Shirley Richardson, David and Betty Richardson, Willie and Wendy Richardson, Carolyn Richardson, Brenda Richardson, and Pat and Odell Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11am, Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Piney Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Eric Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 7:30pm, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home.
