Phyllis Lynn Johnson
Phyllis Lynn Johnson was born in Campbell County, VA on November 22, 1966. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Marie Gussie Harris. Phyllis attended Brookville High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1986. Upon graduating, Phyllis worked in the community in various occupations over the years but her most beloved work was in her home daycare which she ran for years. Through these various occupations, Phyllis made many lifelong friends.
On July 16, 1999, Phyllis married her best friend, Michael Douglass Johnson, also of Campbell County, VA. The two spent twenty-six years together in love and had many adventures. Phyllis and Mike shared two sons, Billy Alan Roach and Brandon Douglas Johnson, both of whom reside in Forest, VA. Phyllis and Mike were active members at Impact Church of Forest, VA, where both served faithfully.
Over the years, Phyllis demonstrated her love for people and a true servant’s heart in how she was always ready to help or to take care of someone in need. Phyllis provided care for her mother, mother-in-law, and father-in-law in their later years. Phyllis loved the beach, and she and her family and friends made many happy memories there over the years.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Michael Douglas Johnson, her son Billy A. Roach (Jessica), Brandon D. Johnson, her brother Michael L. Page (Amanda), sister-in-law Dawn Goff (Christopher) and nieces Hallie Goff, Phoebe Goff, Sophia Page, Ada Page, Nora Page and one nephew, Wyatt Page. Of special mention were her two precious grandchildren, Colton Roach and Caitlyn Roach, who were the absolute loves of her life.
In addition, Phyllis loved many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends throughout the years.
There will be a celebration of life service on October 18, 2025, at Brookhill Wesleyan Church, located at 1043 Cifax Road, Forest, VA 24551. The service will begin at 11:00am and a dinner for family will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Impact Church.
