Frances Gautier Epling

Frances Gautier Epling, 85 of Pearisburg, VA left this earthly world for her heavenly home with our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ on October 16, 2025.

Frances was a member of Christ Fellowship in Pearisburg. She worked several years at Celanese before having to take disability.

Frances was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Virginia Rose Gautier of Narrows, Virginia. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, James (Jimbob) Epling and her son, Ralph Epling.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Cynthia Gordon (Mark) of Pulaski, VA; a son, Timmy (Vera) Epling of Pearisburg, VA; granddaughters, Amanda Brooks (Henry) of Narrows, Virginia, Candace Thomas (Joshua) of Pulaski, VA, and Amelia Epling of Pearisburg, VA; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Abbie, and Jase Brooks, and Haven Taylor; her brothers, Jimmy Gautier (Mary) of Narrows, VA, Jerry Gautier (Sandy) of Pembroke, Virginia; and Richard Gautier (Angie) of Pearisburg, Virginia; a sister, Janice Collins of Shawsville, VA; and special friends, Janetta Peltery of Lerona, West Virginia, Betty Perkins, and Debbie Akers each of Pearisburg, Virginia.

Frances first was a Christian and would serve as such whether singing in the choir or watching Jimmy Swaggart minister to her spirit on TV. Next, Frances loved her family and the precious time she would spend making memories. On TV she also enjoyed the fun of playing game shows with each contestant.

The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM in New Village Pentecostal Holiness Church in Staffordsville, VA. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kathy Higgs officiating. Funeral services will conclude at Birchlawn Burial Park where she will be laid to rest.
