Larry Walter Robertson

Larry Walter Robertson, 85, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born October 19, 1940, in Franklin County, Va. to James Madison Robertson and Ruby Gray Jones Robertson.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother-in-law L.D. Oakes.

He is survived by his sisters, Retha Robertson Oakes and Jackie Johnson Palmer (Larry) and his brother Clarence Douglas “Doug” Robertson (Trenda); also many beloved nieces and nephews.

Larry had a very strong work ethic and retired from having worked many different jobs.

He was a devoted Christian and a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church.

Larry loved his family, cooking outside, playing his guitar and singing hymns. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was a big Jeff Gordon fan.

The family will have a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
