Anne Ashby Washburn

Anne Ashby Washburn, 63, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was born on May 17, 1962, to the late Edward Ashby and Edna Wray Amos. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William “Rock” Amos, and her brother, Billy Ashby.

Anne retired from Patrick & Henry Community College, where she served as Assistant Bookstore Manager. She had a deep love for the simple joys of life, especially for goats, gardening, baking, cooking, and enjoying walks outdoors.. Most of all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Mullins; two daughters, Amanda Le (Tran) and Casey W. Upchurch (Johnny); her grandson, Elijah Upchurch; granddaughter, Madelyn Upchurch; special friends, Terri Bates, Markus Seaton, and Leon Washburn; along with many other loving family members and friends.
