Bobby Mckinley Branch

Bobby McKinley Branch of Patrick Springs, VA passed away suddenly at Sovah Hospital of Martinsville, VA, on October 27, 2025. He was born on March 26, 1953 in Martinsville, VA to the late Robert Calvin Branch and Virginia Lucado Branch. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ashburn Branch; a daughter, Tracy Michelle Branch; a grandson, Robbie Branch; and a brother, Robert Danny Branch.

During his career, Bobby served as a dedicated deputy and captain within the Martinsville Sheriff's Department, retiring after 32 years of service. He enjoyed the later years playing cards, riding his Harley with his brothers and friends and driving his 1971 Charger to the Cruise In car shows in Bassett, VA. Bobby enjoyed his mornings, spending time with family, having coffee on his front porch rocker taking note of all the animals (deer, rabbit, bear etc.) and birds that came by to visit.

Bobby, a dearly beloved brother, uncle and friend to many, whose unwavering love and radiant spirit touched all who knew him. He will be affectionately remembered for his love of Harleys, antique and classic cars, jokes on friends, but especially his deep love for his family.

Bobby is survived by his siblings, Peggy Goard, Faye Rorrer, Ronnie Branch (Kathy), Shirley Via, Connie Nelson, Diane Harrison (Kevin), Alvin Branch, his sister-in-law, Linda Faye Branch and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, VA with Pastor Roger Moore officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Branch Family Cemetery.
