Sharon Ranson Knight

Sharon Ranson Knight, 69, of Appomattox went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at her residence. She leaves behind the love of her life for over 50 years, David Willis Knight, Sr. She was a loving wife, mother, Nannie, aunt, and friend.
Born on August 15, 1956, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry Winston Ranson, Sr. and Jean Harding Ranson. She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church. Sharon was active throughout her church and church family. She greatly enjoyed fellowshipping with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She regularly worked in Awanas, the nurseries, teen groups, and VBS. Sharon was a warrior for years and we rejoice in the fact that she is home and now whole.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, T.J. Knight and Michael Martin of Concord, Dee Knight and Ashley of Spout Spring, and Stephanie Knight Lewis and Mitchell of Appomattox; six grandchildren, Brooklynn, Dixie, Hayleigh, Mason, Kyleigh, and Ty; and three brothers, H.W. Ranson, Jr., Barney Ranson both of Appomattox, and Mike Ranson of Lynchburg.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Watson, Rev. Robert E. Lee, Jr. and Pastor Jerry Boyce officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 6:30pm, Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home.
