John Walker Janney

John Walker Janney, Jr., 75, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was born on February 9, 1950, to the late John Walker Janney, Sr. and Ruth Hall Janney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Noah Janney (Ida Lee), Robert Janney, Sr., Nancy Gibbs (Pete), Jane Whitlow (Dewey), and Shirley Vaughn (Joe); and a sister-in-law Linda Janney.

John retired from Hooker Furniture, where he worked faithfully for many years as an assistant supervisor. He enjoyed spending time outdoors working, walking dogs, and being with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Donna Eanes Janney; son, Randy Janney; daughter, Kim Compton (Tommy); grandchildren, Emilee Cobler (Nicholas) and Justin Compton, two brothers, Headley Janney and Roy Janey; a sister-in-law, Hannah Janney; and a special nephew, Robert William Janney, Jr. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A private service will be held to honor his life.
