Andrew Richard Marciniec
Andrew Richard Marciniec, 26, went home to be with Jesus on October 24, 2025.
Andrew was born on October 22, 1999, in New Britain, CT, and grew up in Virginia’s Roanoke Valley. Andrew was a loving son and brother, and he loved God more than anything. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Carol Marciniec.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Heather Marciniec; his sister, Carolyn Yamashita; his grandparents, Howard and Lynn Lockwood; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Andrew is remembered for his creativity, humor, adventurousness, and generosity. He began playing guitar at the age of five, and he loved recording songs and playing with his father and friends. Andrew expressed many times that he wanted to use his music to help others. He and his sister also enjoyed making absurd skits together and performing them for their parents and grandparents.
Andrew was most at peace when praying and when in nature, and he grew up building forts in the woods with his mother. He also loved spending time with his grandparents–kayaking, camping, fishing, and cooking.
Andrew strived to make sure that those around him felt loved. He gave counsel to others in times of need and prayed often for those he couldn’t help directly. Above all, Andrew wants everyone to know how much God loves them.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 8, 10 a.m., at St. Bernard Church in Vernon, CT. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House.
