Ronald Lee Hylton

Ronald Lee Hylton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the age of 71. He was born on December 29, 1953, to the late Irvin and Minnie Hylton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Shelton Law.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Brenda Gilley Hylton, who was his rock. His legacy continues through his two sons and their wives, Christopher Lee Hylton and Brittany, and Bryan Dalton Hylton and Amanda; and five grandchildren, Heidi, Kaidence, Nathaniel, Quinn, and Isadora. Ronnie is also survived by his three brothers, Roger Hylton, Michael Hylton, and Jimmy Hylton.

Ronnie was a skilled mechanic. He worked for many years at both Tultex and Liberty Fabrics. Outside of his professional life, he enjoyed the simple pleasures, including one of his favorite pastimes, fishing. He also had a sharp eye for a good deal and loved buying and selling vehicles. Above all else, Ronnie will be remembered as a loving grandfather whose greatest joy was his grandchildren.

A visitation and memorial service to celebrate Ronnie's life will be held on Saturday, November 8th at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Drive, Bassett, VA. The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM followed by the memorial service at 12 noon. The Reverend Mike Plasters will preside.
