Thomas Clark Raber, 83, of Appomattox, Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Tom was born on October 16, 1942, in Bloomington, Illinois, to the late John E. and Gail Cummings Raber. He grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland, and spent over 3 years of his childhood in Manila, Philippines. He graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in 1962. Beyond his career, Tom found true joy in his passions and hobbies—most notably racing his beloved 1974 Lola T-340 with the Sports Car Club of America up and down the East Coast. In retirement, he fulfilled his dream of building a timber frame home on a peaceful lake in Appomattox, where he delighted in the beauty of nature and the company of local wildlife.

He will be deeply missed by his sister, Julie (Tom) Kemp of Hollywood, MD; sister-in-law, Gretchen Raber of Alexandria, VA; nephews, Dan Kemp of Indian Mound, TN, and Kurt (Janell) Raber of Middletown, DE; nieces, Christianna Raber of Richmond, VA, and Debbie (Rich) Fleischer of Potomac, MD.
