Stephen Herman Blankenship

Stephen Herman Blankenship, age 61 of Fieldale, VA, died from injuries he sustained in an auto accident on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Stephen was born on February 2, 1964 in Bluefield, W. VA. to Clarence Gaither Blankenship and Mettie Sexton Blankenship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Alley. He spent his life in the Automotive Industry as a mechanic. He was involved in multiple car and truck collections. He was an car enthusiast, loved car shows, fishing and spending time with family, porch sitting telling stories and practical jokes.

Stephen is survived by a brother, Paul Harrison Blankenship (Georgia), finacee, Yvonne Harris, niece, Toni Scollins, nephews, Clarence Mitchem (Alice), Eldon Moore, Aaron Blankenship (Yulia), great nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Elizabeth, C.W., Nova, Dimitin, Constantine, Dean Roberts, many great -great nieces and nephews, also extended family, Joseph Harris, Ethan Harris, Gage, Sevenity, Asner, two fur babies, Girly and Dillinger.

A visitation will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA on Friday November 14, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at Collins Funeral Home, beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial will follw at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway, Virginia.
