Susan Knick Smith

Susan Knick Smith, age 70 of Axton, Virginia passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born June 21, 1955 in Danville, Virginia to the late Elizabeth Garrett Andrews and the late Frank Andrews. She was married to James “Bubba” Smith, who predeceased her in 2012.

She retired from Dan River Mills and was a member of County Line Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Smith Carter and Ashley Smith; grandchildren, James David Smith, Cheyenne Love, and Aaliyah Smith; and great grandchildren, Dean Masters and Layla Smith.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Sharon Evans; and her brother, David F. Andrews, Jr.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025, 3:00 p.m. at County Line Christian Church Cemetery with James Osborne officiating.
