Austin Robert Deak
Austin Robert Deak, 23, of Appomattox Virginia was welcomed into heaven on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Born on April 21, 2002 Austin was the kind of young man you met once and never forgot. Whether you knew him for five minutes or his entire life, he left a mark on everyone he crossed paths with. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t gotten to know yet. Those who spent even a little time with him felt his kindness, his easy smile, and the genuine warmth he carried wherever he went.
Austin’s heart belonged to the outdoors. He found his peace in the stillness of nature, bass fishing out on the water, deer hunting in the early morning woods, or climbing trees just to get a better view of the world he loved so much. Being outside wasn’t just a hobby for him; it was where he was most himself.
He had a fondness for a good steak, whether from any restaurant in town or straight from his dad’s freezer although everyone knew which he preferred. Some called him a jack of all trades. If Austin didn’t know how to do something, he’d figure it out, always ready to lend a hand and determined to be there for anyone who needed him.
Austin had a gift for turning simple moments into unforgettable stories. Fearless and full of life, he was known to bust out into spur-of-the-moment dance moves or belt classic country songs around the house with a confidence that made everyone laugh. When he wasn’t out in the woods, he found joy in quiet moments too, always gazing up at the stars, inventing constellations, and soaking in the beauty of the world around him.
Family meant everything to him. He was a devoted brother, always present, always willing to play, laugh, or simply be there. His humor could light up any room, and his jokes told with that unmistakable grin, could get anyone laughing. To his family and friends, Austin wasn’t just loved; he was cherished. He was the best brother, friend, and person many of them had ever known.
Above all, Austin poured his heart into his growing family. Every choice he made, every step he took, was for the future he was building with his wife and their child on the way. He loved them fiercely and wholeheartedly.
Austin will forever be missed by every person blessed enough to know him. His memory will live on in the stories he told, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
Those left to cherish Austin’s memory include his devoted and loving wife Hayley Diane Deak; his coming son Waylon Austin Cash Deak; his parents Anthony James Deak Jr. and Melanie Marie White; his twin brother Clayton Deak and his siblings Dillon Deak, Tristen Deak, Brooke Deak; his grandparents Anthony James Deak Sr., Marie Patricia Deak, Robert Will White, Linda Michelle White; his Father-in-Law James Douglas Mayhugh, Jr. and Mother-in-Law Martha Angaline Mayhugh; and his siblings-in-law James Douglas Mayhugh III and Faith Marie Mayhugh.
