David Francis Morris

David (Dave) F. Morris passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 94, at his home in Radford. Born and raised in Radford, VA he was the son of the late John Tebie Morris and Edna Barton Morris.

Dave proudly served in the United States Army and National Guard. He later worked as an electrician for the City of Radford for over 31 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Freda Morris, and wife Janie Morris; brothers, Tom Morris, Bill Morris, Bob Morris, and Buster Morris; and sisters, Margaret Morris and Patsy Morris.

He is survived by his children, Barbara Swindell (Bob), David F. (Dink) Morris (Kelly), Patsy A. Morris, and Sherry Fowler (Marvin).

He was lovingly known as “Papaw” to his grandchildren, Rob Swindell (Amanda), Lori Luhrman (Chris), Joe Swindell (Meg), Amanda N. Griffith, Michelle Morris, Tyler Griffith (Dylan), Michael Morris, Ryann Fowler (Nicole), Mary Conner Aker (Dylan), and Hart Fowler as well as to his 12 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother Douglas Morris and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25 at Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford from 11:30am -1:00pm, directly followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment will take place at West View Cemetery in Radford.
