George Kennedy Shelton

George Shelton, age 63 of Chatham, Virginia passed away November 26, 2025 at his residence. Mr. Shelton was born March 4, 1962, in Pittsylvania County to the late George Preston Shelton and the late Annie Craft Shelton. He was married to Delbry Crawford Shelton.

He was a member of Mill Creek Community Church and was retired IT and maintenance at Roman Eagle Nursing Home.

In addition to his beloved wife of the residence, he is also survived by two daughters, Christina S. Parrish and Kelly Beasley (Ronnie); two sons, Joshua Shelton (Melissa Turner) and Zack Shelton (Lauren); grandchildren, Aislyn, Jackson, Kambrie, Stephen, Brooke, Magan, Taylor, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Xavier and Sebastian; his sister, Ann Shelton Robinson; and his lifelong best friend, John Hammock.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a son, Brian Crawford; two sisters, Betty Lou Shelton, and Sudie Shelton Petibone; and his brother, John Hurt Shelton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Mill Creek Community Church, 3720 Chalk Level Rd. Chatham, VA. with Pastor Darrell Cambell officiating.

The family will receive friends and family at the residence.
