Rayma "Sue" Wilson

Rayma “Sue” Wilson, 92, of Herndon, VA, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Born on September 7, 1933, in Shell Knob, MO, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Zelma James. Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Dale Wilson, and two sisters, Mary Ann Renfrow and Janice Kay Alderson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Hoffman (David) and Rachele Wilson (Chris Marty), as well as three grandchildren, Matias, Holly, and Nicholas. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Conrad Wilson (Connie); nieces and nephews: Doug Wilson (Vicki), Greg Wilson, Lisa Walker (Jim), Michael Renfrow (Donna), Gary Alderson (Brandy); and numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Sue was a retired home economics teacher who dedicated many years to teaching at Falls Church Public Schools in Virginia. She was a longtime member of Ox Hill Baptist Church in Chantilly, VA, where she attended since the 1960s.

Sue was known for her love of genealogy, cooking, sewing, and quilting, skills she cherished throughout her life. A talented seamstress, she not only enjoyed creating quilts but also collected them, along with fabric, as part of her lifelong passion for the craft.

A graveside inurnment will take place in Montrose, MO, at a later date.
