Pearl Conner

Pearl Frango Conner, age 94, of 218 Fork Farm Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia died on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Pearl was born on February 22, 1931 in Botetourt County, Virginia to the late David Ollie and Hattie Dobbs Frango. She was a retired seamstress for the former Jane Colby and was a homemaker throughout her life. She and her husband owned and operated the 220 Market Store. She was a member of Iron Gate Community Church and was an honorary member of the Clifton Forge Ladies of the Moose. She enjoyed University of Virginia sports, and loved flowers and gardening.

In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Ray Conner; three brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Conner Keyser (Arnold) and Tina Byer (Jerry), both of Eagle Rock; three sons, H. Stephen Conner (Kathy) of Eagle Rock, Donald Lee Conner (Donna Talbert) of Iron Gate, and Bobby Conner of Eagle Rock; twelve grandchildren, Sandy Jones, Timmy Keyser, Nicky Byer, Jeff Byer, Stevie Wayne Conner, Greg Conner, Stevie Conner, Charlie Conner, Matt Conner, Krista Conner, Robert Conner, and Danielle Conner; and a number of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with Reverend Edith Snedegar and Pastor Mike Rollins officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will visit with friends on Monday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
