Charles Monroe Easter

Mr. Charles Monroe Easter, age 84, of Cana, Virginia, passed away Friday evening, November 28, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Easter was born February 4, 1941, in Carroll County to the late Alexander Monroe Easter and Gladys Johnson Easter. He dedicated many years with Pike Electric as a mechanic and later retiring as supervisor of the shop. He was a simple man, never met a stranger and was all around a genuine kind of man. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he’ll be deeply missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Alice Marie Fleming Easter; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward “Eddie” Easter and Renee, Dewayne Easter and Kim; grandchild, Alex Easter and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Brixton, and Wrenley Easter; brother-in-law, Billy Dowell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Easter was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Dowell. A funeral service to honor his life will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Cana, Virginia, with the Rev. David Sechrist and Rev. Dwight Sechrist officiating. A burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 12:30 PM until time of the service.
