Patrice "Queenie" Wynn

May 31, 1968 - November 27, 2025

Patrice Joel "Queenie" Wynn was born to Louis and Patricia Kelso on
May 31, 1968 in Appomattox, VA. She transitioned from this earthly life in the comfort

of her home on Thursday November 27, 2025.

QUEENIE received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Canaan Baptist Church
Vera, VA. She attended church and enjoyed singing. Education was easy at
Appomattox County Schools. She attended activities, sport games, and enjoyed her
friends. English was her favorite subject. She earned an advance diploma upon
graduation in 1986. One high school highlight when she played in the Senior's Powder

Puff football game. She won a trophy.

QUEENIE loved family events, studying the bible, trivia games, bingo, playing cards,
board and video games. Family events and spending hours on end with loved ones
was her highlight. She, her mother, and sister continued regular online bible study

together with Shepard's Chapel.

QUEENIE kept a private life and shared great times with her life long best friends:

Angie Megginson-Anderson, Veronica Watkins, Tracey Moore,

and the late Phyllis Patterson.

QUEENIE worked as an Administrative Assistant for Appomattox County Schools,
Thomasville Furniture factory, and later was able to assist her husband as an office
manager for his flooring business. She also enjoyed being a housewife for many
years and recently as a medical billing coder for various employers. She also
continued her education by attending community college courses earning various

certificates.

QUEENIE was joined in Holy matrimony to Gary T. Wynn on February 10, 1996 by
Pastor Willie Green, Sr. at their home in Spout Springs, VA. From that union one son,

Darius Thomas, preceded her in death.

QUEENIE was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was truly
devoted to God and family. She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Louis
(Patricia) Kelso, Appomattox, VA. Her husband Gary T. Wynn, Henrico, VA. Her sister,
Morticia Kelso Appomattox, VA. Mother in law; Barbara Wynn Petersburg, VA; Sister in
laws; Lesia Wynn Henrico, VA; Barbara (Darryl) Coleman Petersburg, VA. Her nieces:
Uniqua Kelso Richmond, VA.; Savannah (Adam) Holmes, Emporia, VA; NaD'yah Wynn
Baltimore, MD; Keivona (Gerald) Crockett, Petersburg, VA; Keiyana Brogden,
Petersburg, VA. Her nephews: Marquise Kelso, Palmer Alaska; Kevin Brogden, Jr.
South Chesterfield, VA. and seven great nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Patrice Joel Kelso Wynn will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bruce and Stiff Funeral Home.

There will be no public viewing as this is a cremation.

The family would greatly appreciate any monetary donations be made to the Bruce & Stiff Funeral Home to help with her funeral expenses.
