Kenneth Ray Barbour

Kenneth Ray Barbour, 68, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on November 24, 2025. He was born on February 7, 1957, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Garnet Barbour and Mable Bollings Barbour. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie Barbour and Keith Barbour.

Kenneth worked as a fabricator and welder for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

Kenneth was married to his loving wife, Donna Shorter Barbour, who survives him. Together they shared a life filled with love, family, and devotion. He was a proud father to two daughters, Amanda Reeves (Jeff) and Ashley LaPrade (Brandon), and a devoted grandfather to four grandchildren: Austin Reeves, Blake Reeves, Taylor Bouldin, and Nicholas Bouldin.

He is also survived by his brothers, Danny Barbour (Peggy), Billy Barbour, Gary Barbour (Betty Jo), Dean Barbour (Pansy), Terry Barbour, and Lloyd Barbour (Becky); his sisters, Diane Hall (Pete), Janet Bowles (Dennis), Linda Martin, and Sharon Wilson; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and treasured friends.
