Brenda Brizendine Porter

BRENDA BRIZENDINE PORTER, 80, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Edith Dunn Brizendine. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Brizendine.

Brenda loved beach music, Party in the Park, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right.

She will be missed and remembered by her daughters, Vickie Bryant (Mike), and Lisa Pentecost (Johnnie); grandchildren, Spencer (Chelsea), Tara (Brian), Johnnie “John” (Amber), Sissy (Colin), and Cammie (Gabe); great-grandchildren, Braxton, Tucker, Beau, Chloe, Cayden, Ryland, Austin, Lilly, Alex, and /.JoJo,; siblings, Harold “Dean” Brizendine (Carolyn), Judy Puckett, and Barry Brizendine; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends; as well as her grand fur baby, “Odin” who will miss the cracker treats.

Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Valley Church with Pastor Jason Cook officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in the Carter Family Cemetery in Bastian, Virginia with Pastor Cliff Bowman officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org
