Evelyn Bradley
Evelyn Wheeler Bradley, 97 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Evelyn was born on August 4, 1928, in Giles County, VA. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Andrew Lewis Bradley, a son, Larry Andrew Bradley, 2 sons-in-law, Tom Najar and Wallace Richard Fletcher
Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Narrows and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Narrows. She was a former employee of the Celanese Corp. in Narrows where she met her husband. After they were married, she stayed home to raise their 3 children. She enjoyed taking her kids to the park in Narrows and going to flea markets with her longtime friend, Connie Richardson. She and her husband also like taking the family to Lakeside Amusement Park in Salem at least once a year.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Bonnie Bradley Najar of Roanoke, Betty Ann Bradley Fletcher of Salem, grandson, Patrick Andrew Bradley of Salem, 2 granddaughters, Toshia Najar Curfiss (Ryan) of Blacksburg, Kimberly Fletcher Dowd of Roanoke, 2 great granddaughters, Chelsa Bradley, Lori Ann Parr (Matthew), 3 great grandsons, Aiden Curfiss, Everett Curfiss and Richard Allen Dowd and 2 great great grandsons, Owen Parr and Elijah Parr. And also Reatha Brookman who was a special neighbor for 40 years and is like a second mother to Betty.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11am at the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows, VA with Connie Richardson officiating.
