Ruth Ann Collins Drumwright

Ruth Ann Collins Drumwright, 64, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on September 1, 1961 in Norton, VA to the late Diane Dye Collins and the late Earl Collins. She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Mr. William Wayne Drumwright. Ruth was of the Christian Faith.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by a daughter; Melissa Hedrick and husband Todd of Ringgold, VA, a son; William Drumwright Jr. and wife Candis; a sister; Rose Mary Cantrell; and 10 grandchildren; Matthew Whittington, Joseph Drumwright, Brantley Drumwright, Bryson Hedrick, Tatiana Hedrick and Zachary Hedrick; and five great grandchildren; Mason Hedrick, Makinley Hedrick, Elena Tipton, Ryan Hedrick, and Maddi Hedrick.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by three brothers; Mark, David, and Tony Collins and two sisters; Earlene Vandover and Teresa Collins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 7:00pm at Compassion Church, 215 Third Avenue, Danville, VA with Pastor Jeff Lynch officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service on the same day from 6-7:00pm.
