Lonnie G. Jessee

Lonnie G. Jessee, 65, of Eagle Rock, passed away on December 20, 2025.

Born in Virginia, Lonnie was the son of the late Juanita Hall and Clarence Jessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Jessee.

Lonnie was a skilled mechanic who worked on both small engines and heavy equipment. He devoted many years of service to Branch Highways, where he was known for his strong work ethic and mechanical expertise. Outside of work, Lonnie found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time in nature.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Barbara Moran Jessee; daughter, Brittany Jessee; grandchildren, Olivia Ramey and Ayden Ramey; mother-in-law, Eva Moran; brother-in-law, Wayne Moran; sisters, Lois Sword, Norma McHone, and Dorthey Catron and husband Gary; brothers, Jerry Jessee, Wayne Jessee, and Richard Jessee and wife Terri; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Daleville on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at Rader Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
